Annual Bookshop Santa Cruz Photography Contest
The Reader Photographed
Bookshop Santa Cruz sponsors a annual photography contest on the theme of readers, books, and reading. A gift certificate in the amount of $250 will be presented to the winner of the contest. Second- and third-place gift certificates will also be awarded. The winning photographs will be displayed at Bookshop Santa Cruz and on our website.
Annual Bookshop Santa Cruz Short Story Contest
Featuring the First Place SuRaa Fiction Award
Bookshop Santa Cruz sponsors an annual short story contest to showcase our local talent. We do not look for any particular theme or style--just great writing. The winning story is published in our newsletter, Readers, with a circulation of more than eleven thousand readers, and on our website, www.bookshopsantacruz.com. The second and third place stories are posted in the store. In addition, the top three winning authors are invited to read their stories on Bruce Bratton's University Grapevine radio program (Tuesdays 7:30–8:30pm, KZSC 88.1 FM.)
Annual Bookshop Santa Cruz Young Writers Contest
Bookshop Santa Cruz is celebrating the talents of young writers in our community with a contest designed for ages 6 and up! First, second, and third place winners from each age group will receive Bookshop Santa Cruz gift certificates. Plus, the winning entries will be published together in a collection this November.
